Common questions

Make the scope clear.

Answers to the questions that help a project team define the capture and the handoff. Specific requirements are confirmed during scoping.

What does Video Projection Mapping do?

We focus on 3D laser scanning and reality capture for projection mapping, themed environments and immersive experiences. Our role is to help establish a reliable spatial starting point for creative, fabrication and AV teams.

Do you create the media or install the projectors?

This site describes our reality-capture specialty. Media creation, optical design, installation and show commissioning are separate scope discussions with the project’s creative and AV partners.

When should we bring reality capture into a project?

Before decisions depend on unverified built geometry. The best capture milestone depends on whether you need fabrication-stage information, installed conditions or both.

Is a point cloud the same as a mesh?

No. A point cloud contains spatial measurements; a mesh represents surfaces using connected faces. A derived mesh may be simplified or interpolated for a particular workflow.

Will the data work in our software?

Software, versions, coordinate requirements and file formats are confirmed during scoping. A representative test import is a useful acceptance step.

What accuracy do you provide?

Required tolerances, validation and intended use are project-specific. Discuss the production decision and the dimensions that matter so the capture and review can be scoped appropriately.

Can you work around an operating attraction?

Site access, operating schedules, safety requirements and permissions are reviewed during planning. Availability and execution arrangements are confirmed for the specific project.

What should we include in an inquiry?

Describe the environment, location, project stage, target timing and intended use of the data. A short non-confidential summary is enough to start; detailed assets can follow an agreed sharing process.
