VIDEO PROJECTION
MAPPINGSHAPE / LIGHT / EXPERIENCE

Industry application

Geometry for av & systems integration.

Projection planning depends on surface relationships, surrounding context and reference features.

Where capture fits

Capture the relevant environment to support spatial planning alongside the integrator’s optical and calibration work.

A surface-only capture may omit surrounding features that matter to projector placement. Include the context the integrator needs to assess spatial relationships, while keeping optical design, lens selection, brightness and final calibration with the responsible AV team. Scanner visibility and projector visibility are separate questions.

What the data supports

A consistent spatial reference for system planning, previsualization and on-site alignment discussions.

Agree the reference features and coordinate requirements with the integrator before fieldwork. Confirm which surrounding obstructions need to appear in the handoff, how projector positions will be established and who reviews changes to installed conditions before commissioning.

Make the next step explicit

Agree who receives the data, who checks it and what must be complete before creative or technical work depends on it. Capture records conditions at a point in time; changes after that milestone need to be communicated.

THE PROJECTION CONTEXT

See the relationships across the room.

Surfaces, sightlines and obstructions belong in the same spatial conversation before installation and calibration.
